Cut
out red, white, and pink hearts. Then label each heart with an
uppercase and a lowercase letter on each half of the hearts.
Then have hearts laminated. Cut hearts in half. Children need to
match uppercase to lowercase. |
Poetry
Write
a poem on a piece of tagboard or chart paper. Read the poem
together in class often. Then provide paper with the poem also
written on the bottom portion of page. Allow children to draw a
picture to go with the poem on the top portion of page.
Collect
poems from each month to create a poetry book, or put poems in a
Memory book for students to take home at end of year. |

out the center of a large paper plate. Attach red, white, and
pink hearts to the ring to make a wreath. I encouraged my
students to try and make a pattern with the colors they chose to
use. |
Heart

I
have done this art project with 1st graders, but not
Kindergarten.
Each
child cuts out an assortment of large, small and medium sized
